Two boardmembers will resign after 2010

Color Guard Nederland (CGN) will see two of its boardmembers resign after the 2010 season. Femke Goedhart and Peter Jan de Werk will focus on other things, but they will remain available to CGN.

Femke Goedhart has been a boardmeber for three years and during contests and other events she is moslty known as the liaison between the units and the organisation. For a number of years she's also been the coordinator of all volunteers, an enormous busy and extensive task. The work for CGN and her busy professional life are hard to combine. Luckily for CGN, she will remain available as volunteer after stepping down from the board.

Peter Jan de Werk will end a ten-year career within the CGN board as secretary and coördinator PR & Marketing. Before that, he was already a Timing & Penalty Judge and PR-responsible within the Workgroup, the predecessor of the CGN Board. After having been the 'figurehead' of CGN for over ten years, he thinks it's time for 'fresh blood' and to chase his own goals. Managing his own company and his work in local Rotterdam politics are taking up more and more of his time. Peter Jan will also remain active for CGN, amongst others as contest director and CGN's webmaster.

This means CGN is looking for new talents to fill the voids Femke and Peter Jan will leave. They will step down officially at the CGN Congress 2010. Should you be interested to take over one or more of their tasks, then mail us at info@colorguard.org, so we can get in touch.
